Expert-ranked Farris, 32, of Cockeysville Maryland, crashed in turn 3 during the main event of an AMA Grand National Championship event on the mile oval at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. Rodney was rookie expert #9S in 1981 and wore National #92 from 1982 until his death in 1995. He finished in the Top Ten in Grand National points six times in his career, including a pair of fifth place finishes in 1993 & 1994. He holds the AMA record for most career Grand National podium finishes without a win (15).

We are creating this special fundraiser so a plaque can be created in Rod's memory at the memorial in Daytona Beach in 2020. Every little bit helps and we appreciate your donation.
